A devastating earthquake in late March 2025 in Myanmar has left countless people in dire need. Homes, schools, hospitals, and churches were destroyed in seconds, while landslides and fires added to the chaos. 80-90% of some cities are reported to have been destroyed, with survivors, many of whom have lost everything, now having to sleep on the road or in parks with no food, clean water, or medical care. The risk of disease, starvation, and exposure looms over them as they wait desperately for aid. Bridges, roads, and communication lines have been destroyed, making relief efforts even more challenging.

A relief response is being coordinated by the Full Moon Family Foundation (FMFF), which leads the Children’s Development Network Myanmar, Viva’s partner network in Myanmar. Donations received through this Viva platform will be sent directly to Full Moon Family Foundation for implementing emergency relief efforts as below.

  1. Emergency Medical Materials
  2. Food and Water
  3. Essential Family Relief Package Supplies
  • Blankets to provide warmth and protection at night, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals sleeping outdoors with no access to proper shelter.
  • Mosquito nets to shield families from mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.
  • Sleeping mats to provide a clean and comfortable surface for rest.
  • Basic hygiene kits (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste and sanitary pads).
  • Flashlights and batteries for safety at night.

We value your support during this difficult time.
